כתר

Literally, Crown; כתר is the intermediate category between the essence of the Emanator and the emanations. It is thus the source of the ספירות of the world of אצילות.
כתר is so lofty that it is referred to in the Zohar [1] as תמירא דכל תמירין —the most hidden of all. It is for this reason that כתר is sometimes excluded from the scheme of sefirot (דעת is counted instead). Since it is their source, it is in a category of its own.
